TAPSILOG

According to nutritionists, breakfast is the most important meal of the day and is a good way to start your day. My husband and I eat breakfast regularly. We enjoy having rice for breakfast just like most Pinoys do. Since we both work, I normally prepare breakfast ahead of time.

Here’s a recipe of one of PINOY’s all-time favorite, TAPSILOG (TAPa-SInangag-itLOG). It’s a simple recipe, which tastes best when prepared in advance.

Here’s what you’ll need:

600 g of beef sirloin

6 cloves of finely chopped garlic

¼ cup vinegar

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp iodized salt

1 tsp ground pepper

1 tsp sugar

Oil for frying

Just combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl then marinate it overnight. Do not fry it right away. Firstly, allow the beef to simmer with its marinade and some water for a short period. When almost dry, add enough oil just to grease the pan to avoid the beef to stick on the pan. Cook it for about 2 minutes. Then serve it with SInangag (garlic rice) and itLOG (egg).

Enjoy!

Note: The picture does not contain egg kaya TAPSI lang sya. :)
