I am a fan of Mikee Cojuangco and I haven’t heard any news about her these days. Mikee is from the prominent Cojuangco family of the Philippines, and the niece of the former President Corazon Aquino, who was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. She has soared towards success not only as an equestrienne, but as an actress, commercial model, and youth leader in her Tarlac hometown. She started riding horses when she was 10 years old, and started competing in equestrian events right away. She has won a number of awards internationally. Her best winning moment happened on the 2002 Asian Games that was held in Busan, South Korea. Mikee managed to get Philippines’ third and last gold medal in the individual show jumping event.

Even without meeting her in person, I know she is beautiful, inside and out. Despite her privileged background, she has remained down-to-earth and a believer of the simpler things in life. She is now married to Dodot Jaworski, a former PBA player turned politician, and has two sons. Here’s a picture of Mikee on her equestrian clothing.
