Yesterday, April 23, 2008, was our third wedding anniversary. It has been 3 happy years of marriage. We had dinner with some friends and relatives. We had fun and enjoyed last night and we’re looking forward for more years together.

But let me introduce first my better half…

His Name: Arberth. A unique name with a wonderful personality. He got his name by combining his dad’s (Armando) and mom’s (Elizabeth) names. He doesn’t know where the R came from. Hehe. Kaya he doesn’t know the definition of his name.

How we met. We were classmates in college since our first year. Before we became a couple, we were friends for 7 years. We became very close friends during our last year in college. Then we graduated and had our own lives. We have a constant communication though we don’t get to see each other often. Then one night, during my visit to a friend who lives near his house, the romance started. It all started with a kiss….kisses…and lots of kisses. LOL

His characteristics.

Passionate. He’s a passionate man, husband, dad, and son.

Understanding. He’s the most understanding person I know, because he always understands me with all my imperfections.

Responsible. A responsible son and brother, most especially these days that his dad has passed away. He makes sure that his mom and sister are fine by visiting them more often. A responsible dad who buys Andre’s milk and diapers. Yes, he is the one who buys these items, he is more aware of the cost of Andre’s needs….ako hindi. Hahaha. Ako lang taga budget, hehe

Silent. He’s a silent type of person, most especially when we have misunderstanding. He just keeps quiet until I finish talking.

God-fearing. He definitely believes in God. He believes that God has his own reasons why things are happening and everything happens in its right time. He believes that God knows best.

Grateful. He’s very grateful to the people who have done good things to him and to his family.

All that and more make up the man that makes me fall head over heels in love with each and every day over and over and over again.

I know that there is no such perfect relationship. Of course we have petty quarrels, but it’s normal. These quarrels helped us know each other even better. We are still in the adjustment period of marriage, but since we started as good friends, no extra effort was needed to adjust for each other because we know each other very well. I’m really glad that we started as good friends and he has been one of my best buddies way back in college. Friendship is really the best foundation for a good relationship. It has been almost 14 years since we knew each other. We still have a long way to go and we know that we will still discover new things about each other.

To my dear husband, I want you to know that I am happy and contented with what we have right now, most especially having Andre. I want to thank you for being the best husband and best dad you can be. We know that there’ll be trials that will come our way, and we have to face and solve it together with His guidance. Andre and I will always be by your side and will give you unconditional love. With God’s guidance and God’s grace, I know will stay together until our last breath. I love you so much Dy! Keep the faith. Mwah.
