A gift from Lola
Andre just turned two last May 17 and my mom is asking us what to buy for Andre. Since Andre loves playing outside the house and playing with some of our neighbors, I told my mom to buy him a swing set. So, my mom asked me to find a nice one for Andre. We checked the swing sets in Toy Kingdom at SM and haven’t decided yet on what to buy for the little boy.
Foreclosure houses
A friend of mine is planning to buy a house and she is considering foreclosure houses. She found out that there are several foreclosure homes that cost as low as PHP500,000. They are certainly cheaper than brand new houses. It sounds good because you’ll be able to save a lot of money from these houses. Hmmm…we’ll consider this when we decided to have our own house. 
Diet…
Many people are becoming health-conscious nowadays. There are several ways on how to lose weight. Some people try to lose weight by means of exercise and proper diet. Some people take diet pills, such as Phentermine, Reductil, and Xenical, to help them lose their weight fast. As for me, I’d rather lose weight by having regular exercise and proper diet. But, I am currently not on a diet because foods are really tempting. I can’t resist them. Haaaay.
Andre is two!!!
Last Saturday was Andre’s second birthday. It was a rainy day and I devoted my time for this special day by baking his birthday cake and cooking spaghetti. We didn’t have plans of having a children’s party, but just a simple dinner with Abeth’s family. My youngest sister also arrived to help me out and join us in the simple celebration. That Saturday morning, I woke up early to accompany my mother-in-law in the market to buy the ingredients for the menu. My MIL cooked the kare-kare and roasted chicken, while I cooked the lasagna, and spaghetti. Abeth wasn’t able to come home early because it was raining heavily.
On that day, Andre’s friends stayed at our house all day. So I decided to bake chocolate cupcakes for them. They watched me bake the cake and they all seemed to be excited to taste them. I asked 2 of Andre’s playmates to help me decorate the cupcakes by putting sprinklers on top of the icing. We finished baking the cupcakes and birthday cake around 4PM then I arranged it on the cupcake stand. It is the same cake stand I used during Andre’s first birthday. Since I wasn’t able to buy a cake board for his cake, I just used a used cakeboard from Goldilocks to put his cake. I prepared spaghetti on red sauce, lasagna, and carbonara to be given to our neighbors. The kids looked so excited to eat the cupcakes and spaghetti. At around 5PM, we have finished preparing the foods and Abeth arrived just in time for the “party”. We sung happy birthday and Andre blew the candles.
It was fun and a happy birthday for Andre. I can see that he enjoyed a lot because he didn’t sleep in the afternoon. He was so busy playing with our neighbors. Here are some of the pictures and a video of his birthday. Enjoy!

To Andre,
We are so happy and lucky to have you. You’re such a wonderful and loving son. If you only knew how happy we are to have you. You give us so much joy. We cherish every moment with you, seeing you grow each and everyday, and teaching you all the things you need to know. We pray that you’ll become a good person, inside and out. We pray that you will always be a healthy boy. We will do our very best to provide all the things you need. Dad and Mom will always be here for you and will love you unconditionally. We will do our best to be the best parents that we could be. We love you son! We love you so much! Mwah!
