Litratong Pinoy: Pangarap
Isa sa mga pangarap ng aking mga magulang ay ang makatuntong sa Amerika. Ito ay kanilang nakamit noong nakaraang taon nang sila ay mabigyan ng US VISA, pagkatapos ng makailang beses na pagkakait ng embahada ng America na bigyan sila ng VISA. Salamat at binigyan naman sila ng pagkakataon na makatungtong sa America at nabigyan ng pagkakataong mabisita ang aking panganay na kapatid at ang ibang kamag anak ng aking nanay. Maligayang-maligaya kami para sa kanila kasi alam namin na isa iyon sa pangarap nila, na ngayon ay natupad na bago man lang sila mawala sa mundong ito dahil sila ay may katandaan na din. Weekend Snapshot: Andre’s 3rd Birthday
Last May 17, we went swimming for Andre’s 3rd birthday celebration at Villa Concepcion Wet & Wild Resort in Pandi, Bulacan. He enjoyed his birthday very much. Since it was just a simple birthday party, party invitations are unnecessary. I think we were only about 25 people, including my parents, my sister, my best friend and her family, and my in-laws. We brought food at the resort, few balloons, and bought a cake from goldilocks. His Lolo Bernie and Lola Caring gave him the cake with Disney Cars’s Piston Cup design of course.

The Ring Bearer
Last Sunday, Andre played the ring bearer during the wedding of Abeth’s cousin. He carried the wedding rings of the bride and groom. It was his first time to play that role and we’re so excited to see him walk down the aisle. A few days before the wedding, we taught Andre what to do and how to hold the cushion. We reminded him to hold the cushion with extra care because he will carry the diamond rings. Before the wedding started, I tied the diamond rings tightly to prevent it from falling if Andre accidentally drops the cushion. Just making sure, hehehe! Here are some of Andre’s photos during the wedding, and it was a success! He walked down the aisle alone. He walked down the aisle without me. I’m just at the side guiding him to continuously walk until he reached his seat. He made us proud again. He didn’t have tantrums at all. He’s such a good boy!
Litratong Pinoy: Misyon (Mission)
Paumanhin sa aking pagiging liban ng isang buwan sa LP dahil sa aking pagiging abala sa iba’t ibang bagay. Kaya ngayon, nais kong bumawi at ibahagi muli ang aking mga larawan.
“Misyon” ang tema ng LP para sa linggong ito. Lahat ng tao ay may kani-kaniyang misyon sa buhay. Sa ngayon, ang misyon ko ay magpapayat bilang paghahanda sa aming susunod na anak. Ang naisip ko ilahok ay ang larawan ng aming anak na si Andre nung siya ay ipinanganak ko. Nais namin sana, kung pagpapalain muli ng ating Maykapal, ay magkaroon muli ng anak. Nasa tamang edad na si Andre upang aming sundan.
Ito naman ang misyon ng aking kabiyak. Ang mapag-aralan na mabuti ang paggamit ng kaniyang bagongNikon DSLR na aking ineregalo nung aming ika-4 na anibersaryo ng kasal. At syempre, nakikigamit din ako.

School time!
School classes started on June 1 and some will start on the 8th, while Andre’s class will start on the 15th. Yes, Andre will now go to school at the Public Day Care in our Barangay. It’s an early start. We decided to enroll him at an early age in preparation to next year’s proper schooling. We also want him to learn first how to socialize with other kids.
Here in the Philippines, June is the time of the year when most school classes start. It is also the start of the rainy season. I’m wandering why don’t we move the start of classes to September, the same with USA. The rainy season affects the school classes because heavy rains cause many areas to be flooded, including our area. These instances worry parents, like me, for the problems they may cause like flu, coughs, and colds.
I’m excited to bring him to school. We already bought the school supplies that he’ll need for his class. I can see his excitement, too, because he chose his notebooks with car designs, of course. I also need to train him to sleep early because he needs to wake up early when the school classes start.
That’s it for now, Andre is asking me to sleep na. I will just post new updates about Andre, our out-of-town trips, and occasions, including Andre as the ring bearer to the wedding of Abeth’s cousin. I also need to search the benefits of the Kettlebell exercise, which might help me further to lose more weight. Goodnight!
