Thankful

It was just last week, during the holiday, wherein we were able to finally fix and clean the other room. Imagine 5 typhoons in 2 months! Grabe! We have fixed the living room and the dining room but placed only few furniture and appliances that are used regularly. We placed other appliances that are occasionally used in the second floor. Our dining chairs, which were all submerged in water, were still waiting to be assembled. Andre’s toys were all placed in the other room. He has lots of toys and I am planning to give some of them as well as some his old baby clothes to less-fortunate kids.

We really thank God that the typhoon didn’t cause too much damage on us. We are also thankful that our house in Cavite wasn’t flooded because my sister was all alone there during the typhoon. We’re glad that the flood water only reached the garage floor and the dirty kitchen. There are so many things to be thankful of talaga! God has been so good to us. Thank you Lord!

New goal: A healthier life

I’ve been doing everything to lose weight:

(1) I just bought a stationary bike for me to be able to do the cardio workout indoors;
(2) I am now starting to control my carbohydrate intake for me to be able to lose weight;
(3) I also tried taking diet supplements for further weight reduction, but stopped after a week due to side effects; and
(4) I also prepare my packed lunch and snacks to avoid dining out because eating in fastfood restaurants is unhealthy.

From now on, I will be sharing various healthy and simple recipes. Stay tuned.

Let us all stay healthy.

Blessings

According to Abeth, last weekend was the most expensive weekend of the year for us. :D We were able to do several purchases. These include a new LCD TV and a new DVD player to reward ourselves for a year of hard work; a new bag for me; a stationary bike to help me lose weight; and a new die cast car for Andre for his collection. I so love my new bag and won’t ask for Dansko sandals anymore. ;)

We are so blessed! Aside from keeping us healthy and away from danger, we thank you Lord for all of these.

PCOS symptoms

There are various symptoms of PCOS. These include irregular or no menstrual periods, obesity, excess hair growth, weight gain, oily skin, dandruff, acne, and infertility. I’m glad that I do not have pimples and no need to try various acne products to treat them. But, I have most of these symptoms. Aside from the weight problem (but currently working on it), my menstruation is still not normal. I am now 2 weeks delayed based on the ideal menstrual cycle. I am on my 2nd week under metformin medication and will visit my doctor again in the next 2 weeks. She told me to take it for 3 months and will give me another medication to induce ovulation after the treatment. I hope it will work. We really want to have our next baby.
