A few days ago, I was able to chat with a childhood friend via Facebook and learned that she is now in Canada with her children. She is a single mom of two beautiful kids. I was so surprised to know that she, who used to be afraid of bloods, is now in medical assisting school. She told me that she has to change career for her children’s future and because it is one of the most in-demand careers in Canada. I asked her how it feels to be in a career that she really hated before, and told me that she got used to it and starting to love it. She is not afraid of bloods anymore and I’m glad that she was able to overcome her fear. I’m proud of her. Parents will always do everything and are always willing to sacrifice for the sake of their children. I just hope and pray that they’ll always be okay.
