An officemate gave me her wife’s business card. He asked me to give it to my husband just in case they’ll be needing auto insurance for their trucks. Her wife works from an insurance company and needs new clients to reach her quota. But, unfortunately, the company trucks from my husband’s employer have been insured just a month ago. Anyway, my husband told her to send them a copy of their auto insurance quotes for future reference. It would be a good opportunity for her if she’ll be able to close a deal with them because my husband’s employer maintains more than 5 trucks. I wish her good luck.

Help! I need a new anti-virus scanning software! My current software is outdated and needs to be renewed, but I find it too costly. I know that there are free anti-virus softwares available in the internet. Can someone please suggest me the best anti-virus software available today? Is it safe to download these anti-virus softwares from these sites? I need an anti-virus software that can detect and get rid of Trojan virus. I hope someone could make a good recommendation.

My husband has recently discovered the Big Garment Sale that was held last May 27-May 29. This big sale was located in a warehouse in Meycauayan, Bulacan, that is about 20 minutes drive from our place. They have various imported brands that you can purchase for a cheaper price – cheaper that Greenhills and cheaper than US outlets. Their goods are all authentic overruns of US and UK branded apparel at low factory prices. These include Crocs, Tommy Hilfiger, American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Gap.

We were able to go to the said event on the first day with my husband’s cousins, but the husband wasn’t able to join us because of his busy schedule. He just reminded me to at least go to the men’s clothing section to buy him few shirts. Take note that few shirts means minimum of 3. We then went back on the third day, but this time, with my mother-in-law. On the first day, I was able to buy 8 items for less than Php2000 only. But, on the second visit, we were able to buy more, including Andre’s shoes, Lighting Mcqueen shirts and pants, and a lot more for Php3000. I’ve learned that this event has been going on since 2005 and this is their first for the year. I asked one of the employees how often they hold event like these and told me that twice or thrice a year. Hmmmm, needs to save for the next sale. Hehehe!

Anyway, I will inform you when will be the next big sale so that you can also enjoy shopping at a cheaper price!

There have been earthquakes in different parts of the world, and our country is not spared from this calamity. I have actually watched a video from CNN about how ready are we when an earthquake hits Manila. Here’s the video:

I’m afraid we are not. We have several buildings and houses that are too old and substandard. Buildings here are not safe because of contractors that are corrupt. I hope our local contractors are certified with the Building Performance Institute (BPI) in the US, a leading developer of technical standards for home performance and weatherization retrofit work that are recognized across North America. Like them, our local contractors should undergo bpi training. We should all be prepared.

Yesterday, we went to Andre’s pedia to have his flu shot. We waited for more than an hour because there were so many patients and we weren’t able to go to the clinic earlier because Andre woke up at 9:30 AM. I’m glad we brought the PSP to entertain him so that Andre won’t get bored waiting for his turn because we will be entertained after patient number 16 pa. There were so many patients and I noticed one of the babies with reddish and scaly face. I asked the mom what happened to the baby and told me that it was eczema. I felt bad for the baby because she was so irritated that time because of the itchy feeling.

Tomorrow is Andre’s 4th birthday celebration. We invited some of our closest friends and closest relatives to celebrate with us. One of my cousins arrived at our house today and I was so surprised to see her having too many pimples on her face. She used to have a very good skin, but now, she had acne all over her face. She didn’t know what causes this pimple outbreak. So, I recommended her to consult a dermatologist and ask the best acne treatment lotion that will help treat her skin problem. I hope she’ll be able to get rid of them. She’s pretty pa naman.
