Is your purified water really safe?

Owners of purified water refilling station are enjoying their booming business. This business has been around for years. We used to drink water directly from the faucet in the past. But, things have changed; most of us do not get drinking water from the faucet anymore because tap water is not safe to drink. With a history of amoebiasis, tap water is a NO NO because the amoeba in my stomach might be awaken
.
But, are we really sure that the water being delivered by these water refilling stations is really purified? These water refilling stations produce purified water using reverse osmosis, the most common treatment technology used by bottled water companies. I have seen some disgusting water refilling stations with unhygienic practices like employees with no hair cap and laboratory gowns and dirty and dented water containers.
Have you ever checked or inquired from your water refilling station about their latest maintenance and cleaning? I haven’t.
But, I believe they should perform regular maintenance, cleaning, and regular filter changes. They should also dispose their dented and dirty containers, which bother me the most.
How about you? Is your purified water really safe?

Update on my PCOS
I have switched to a new OB-GYNE to treat my PCOS. I am under medication to treat them and recently finished my last shot of HPV vaccine. My doctor advised me to take Provera for 6 months and will give me an ovulation pill after that. I am also trying to lose weight now because it is one of the factors for having this hormonal imbalance. I now eat cereals for breakfast, a complete meal at lunch, and a very light dinner. I also steam some camote for my snack. I’m also starting to make a food diary to monitor what I eat. I really have to make a move for a healthy life and getting ready for our next baby, if God permits. I’m also glad that I do not suffer from severe acne just like other women who have PCOS because women with PCOS are more likely to get acne. I’m glad that I don’t have to deal with it.
I hope that this will work this time because Andre is asking for a brother na. Nakakpressure!
The “D” Life
I have already said before that we have a strong family history of Diabetes (“D”) because my dad has the D. My eldest sister (Ate B) had it when she was 37. And now, my second to the eldest sister (Ate V) have it, too. She found out about this a few days before her 38th birthday. I am now worried that I might have them too because it really runs in the blood. Ate V had gestational diabetes during her two pregnancies. It came to a point that she needs to inject insulin to maintain her blood sugar. I think this is a wake-up call for me because I have the biggest possibility of having D later. I just don’t know how to start losing weight again. I am actually being tempted to try taking diet pills again for me to lose weight. But, I know it is not the best option. I need to eat healthy and exercise again. I need to count my calorie intake and eat fewer carbohydrates and avoid sweets now. I know I could do this, I just need to be motivated and a little help from my hubby to watch the food we eat. It’s good that we already started to lessen our rice. We now practice a “light dinner”. We seldom eat rice at night and we only eat light meals at night like cereals and sandwich. We really need to make a move for a healthier life. We need to stay healthy for our son Andre and we need to stay healthy too for us to continue to work. I need to fix my schedule now to divide my time properly for work, exercise, and my family. It’s not easy working at home and being an all-around wife and mom at the same time. It’s really not easy.
Weight gain again! :(
I gained weight again
I gained weight due to many reasons: no exercise, eating a lot, and eating too many sweets lately.
With this kind of lifestyle, it didn’t surprise me that I gained weight when I weighed again. After reading several weight loss success stories, I am still having a hard time losing my own weight. I wasn’t able to continue jogging because it’s been raining these past weeks. Aside from tons of work load, I am also having problems with my schedule on when to jog. I can’t jog in the morning because I stay awake until 2am to work. Thus, it would be so hard for me to get up early to jog. I want to try jogging in the afternoon but my son sleeps from 3PM to 6PM. I can’t leave the house because nobody will watch over my son because we do not have a nanny. Haaay! Those are the things that prevent me from jogging. But, in fairness, I didn’t gain too much weight naman because we only have light dinner at home. We now practice eating heavy breakfast and it works for me and my husband because we don’t easily get hungry and we are more energetic now. I need to lose weight but I won’t be using those slimming coffees anymore. I will do it in a healthy way. I’ll be cautious of our daily calorie intake na lang.
Live healthy
I have mentioned here a few months ago that Abeth’s aunt is suffering from Ovarian Cancer. She is now undergoing chemotherapy and finished her third session recently. She is now hairless and sometimes wears a wig to cover up her baldness. She is now on a low-fat diet. She has been eating leafy vegetables recently and drinking various fruit shakes. Due to this, we all decided to change our eating habits. We now lessen our rice intake and are eating healthier and fibrous foods. We also do researches on various colon cleansers. We are currently taking a supplement made from natural fruits and increased vitamins intake.
It is not yet too late to start living a healthy life. Let’s all be healthy!
