I am starting to memorize most of the TV programs in Nick Jr because Andre loves it. He enjoys watching several programs like Team Umizoomi, Dora The Explorer, Backyardigans, Ni Hao Kailan, and his current favorite, Go Diego Go, before he goes to school. He loves Diego and tries to imitate all his actions and clothes. He even asked me to buy him a rescue pack like Diego’s. He also loves watching Artzooka every Saturday and told me that he wanted to do the same.:D How I wish I am as artistic and as creative as the host. I envy people like them who can recycle and create new items from used things like empty bottles, buttons, and even recycled Christmas cards.

I consider Nick Jr. my new friend because it helps me to entertain my son everytime I am busy with my work and household chores. How about you? Do you also love Nick Jr.?

Ito ay koleksyon ng mga “die-cast characters” mula sa pelikulang “CARS The Movie” ng aking anak.  Pinapakita nito kung gaano nya kagusto ang pelikulang ito lalo na si Lightning McQueen kaya kung ilang ulit na namin napanood ang pelikulang ito sa DVD.

At ito naman ang pinakabagong karagdagan sa kanyang koleksyon: Isang set ng “kiddie bed” na maydisenyong Lightning McQueen.

Andre is now a Junior Kinder and see how he looks like in his new uniform.

His class schedule is from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. We chose the afternoon session because it is so difficult to wake him up as early as 6:30 AM to prepare for the 7:30 AM class. It is also hard for me to wake as early as 6AM to prepare everything because I stay up very late working. With the afternoon session, I don’t have to be in a hurry everyday to prepare him for school.

During the first 3 days, I accompany him to his classroom before the classes start. I even took a picture of their room. They have a toilet inside the room, a playhouse, and a mini library. They also have a cubby hole to put their bags.

While waiting for him outside, I roamed around the school and saw some photos of the school activities. I saw kids wearing pirate costumes, princesses, and superhero costumes during one of their activities. They were so cute. I can’t wait to see Andre wearing costumes too! And I am looking forward to the activities they will have in his new school. I know Andre will enjoy activities like this.

We have finally enrolled Andre in a Montessori school near our place. It’s the same school where his dad’s friends enrolled their children. Based on his friends’ testimonies, it is a high-quality school. There will be a maximum of 12 students per class with one teacher and one teacher aide. Most pre-schools nowadays have teacher aides, which I find very helpful because they can attend to the needs of each student in a classroom. The student-teacher ratio is an advantage when choosing the proper school for your kids. Twelve students per class are sufficient for a teacher to be able to focus on each of them.

Their classes will start on June 15. We have already bought him 4 pairs of uniform plus a pair of P.E. uniform. Yesterday, we went to his school to pick up the books that they’ll be using in the coming school year. We are not required to buy the school supplies for Andre because they were all included in his tuition fee. After picking up the books, we then headed to SM to buy the school supplies for Abeth’s cousins. I though it was an ordinary day yesterday because it is a weekday. But, I was wrong. There were so many shoppers in the mall buying school supplies for their children, too. So, we have to fall in a very long line to pay for the items we purchased. But, I had an unpleasant experience yesterday. While waiting to be served, about 2 customers before my turn, the cashier’s barcode scanner halted. So, they have to call someone to assist them. They told us to go to another counter instead because they will be closing the counter that supposed to serve us. Haaaay, I was so distressed because after waiting for more than 30 minutes, we have to fall in line again. But, I have no choice. I’m glad that my husband texted me that he’s on his way to the mall, and will be there in about 5 minutes. I feel relieved because he replaced me. He’s my hero!

Our son has recently turned four (4) years old. We had a simple party with our closest friends and family members at Kenny Rogers Roasters in SM Marilao. My parents and sister were there as well as my cousins. Some of my college friends and officemates were also there to celebrate with us. Some of them are asking why are we having such party, because we are all used to having parties to celebrate 1st and 7th birthdays of our children. We’ve decided to have a party for our son because we think that his age is the most appropriate age for a child to enjoy a party because he can already appreciate them, join the games, and play with friends. During a child’s first birthday, he still doesn’t enjoy the party because he is too young to appreciate them. He can’t join the games and doesn’t understand magic yet. During this age, he can participate and appreciate the party.

Vacation is over and it’s now exactly 4:20 AM. Thanks to the strong coffee prepared by my husband because it kept me awake until this moment to finish my work that is due for submission tomorrow. I need to submit them now because I won’t be able to work in the morning because it is Andre’s first day of swimming lessons. We have enrolled him to a 10-session swimming lesson at St. Paul Bocaue, which is accredited by the Bert Lozada Swimming School. We want him to learn how to swim so that we don’t have to worry about drowning when he’s swimming. We’re so excited about it because this will be the first of the yearly summer activities that we want him to experience.

Haaay, I have to sleep now because it’s almost 5AM. His class is at 9AM, so I have to wake up around 7AM. With just two hours of sleep, I think I will be needing the best under eye cream for my eye bugs.
