On Andre
Andre – Getting ready to see the ‘real world’
A few months from now, Andre will be graduating from the Daycare and we are pretty excited about it. He has improved a lot. He is more mature now. He has learned a lot from the Daycare. He learned to socialize more, which is our main reason for enrolling him in the Daycare. He loves writing the alphabets, but still needs further improvement. He can now write his name, count and write one up to thirty and then jumps to one hundred. Hehehe! We bought a multi-purpose tray that he can use as a table when writing. He can place it on the floor tiles while playing, and can be also put on bed when Andre and his dad practice writing.
He now weighs 19 kilos and he is now taller. He can now wash his hands alone in the bathroom because he can already reach the faucet. His shoe size is also getting bigger and we had bought him a new pair of shoes.
He is still the sweetest, loving, and thoughtful kid. He still loves Disney’s CARS the movie and can’t wait to see the part 2. He has not outgrown it yet. He still plays with his die cast cars and still watches the movie.
We will be enrolling him in a swimming class this summer. We are also pretty excited to enroll him in Kindergarten for the coming school year. He is a now a big boy. Abeth and I are also preparing ourselves to this ‘new world’ that Andre will go into. It is a mixed feeling. We are very happy and excited that he is now officially going to school, but also nervous because we know for a fact that going to school is the ‘real world’. He will different people with different characters that will have a great influence on his life. We know that he’ll be fine. We just hope and pray that these people will help him become a better individual.
To Andre, goodluck and enjoy!
Andre is turning four
Andre is getting bigger and bigger now. He’s turning four in May of this year and he wants to have a birthday party. He particularly wants a CAR-themed party with Lightning Macqueen and we’re considering the SM Storyland for the party venue. So as early as now, we are thinking of what to offer for his party. I am creating a “to do” list for the said party so that I could easily check the things I need to accomplish.
Here is the list:
1. Invitations
2. Souvenirs – custom water bottles
3. Guestbook – photobook from Artscow
4. Cake – Goldilocks
5. Food/caterer
6. balloons
7. tarpaulin
8. Photos and Video – c/o Abeth and Allan
Is there anything else? I wish we could accomplish all of those before his birthday.
A very “techie” Andre
I think Andre is a very ‘techie’ boy. He already knows how to use the PC and the laptop. He already knows how to shut it down. He also knows how to search and watch cars in You Tube all by himself. He can type the word CARS on the search tab. When tired of watching cars in the laptop, he’ll ask me to turn on the TV and there he will watch Cars the Movie again. I think we have seen the movie hundred times na. But still, he is not tired of watching them all over and over again.
But, there’s this question from him that made me rise my eyebrows. Few weeks ago, he asked me, “Mom, I want an IPOD”. I was surprised. I wasn’t able to reply right away because I am thinking where he got that idea. I remember seeing Andre’s cousins with their ipods. There I knew where he got that idea. So, I asked him why he likes to have an ipod. He told me, “wala lang”. O diba! He acts and talks like an adult na. Haaay…
Andre and his new friend
Here’s a photo of Andre and his new friend Jed. This photo was taken at Balay Indang 2 weeks ago during our early Christmas party with my officemates. Andre and Jed, together with their dads enjoyed the swimming while the wives and single ladies enjoyed the videoke. It was Andre and Jed’s second time to meet. The first time was during my birthday. It was also the first time Sonia, Jed’s mom who works in a car insurance company and Jonathan’s wife, joined us. We were able to get to know her better. It was a great day and we all enjoyed it.
